When you choose Priority Moving, we understand how stressful and expensive moving can be. There are small things you can do to take away the stress like hire movers and packers to get some of the work done for you. But what about once you move and you have an entirely new space to decorate? That can add even more stress and financial cost, but it doesn’t have to. We wanted to share with you a few tips on how to decorate your new home on a budget to help make the process a little easier.
Thrift
One of the most cost-friendly things you can do is thrift for new decor pieces. Before the movers and packers start their job, go through your stuff and donate what you don’t like or want anymore. That way when you thrift you won’t have extra decor lying around. Thrift stores not only save you money but help others too! You can find things like curtains, candles, rugs and kitchen supplies at thrift stores!
Garage Sale
If you’re moving somewhere if neighbors, you’re bound to run into a few garage sales in the warmer months. Use this as an opportunity to not only find new goodies to decorate your new home but meet your new neighbors! If you’re still looking for some specific items, they might have suggestions on local stores that carry what you need! Garage sales are a great place to find new-to-you decor for prices that are hard to beat anywhere else!
Photos
A great way to decorate your new home is by using your own photos! Once the movers and packers are gone, you’ll be able to print off photos of fun memories, get some frames from a dollar store nearby and hang them or display them on tables or shelves! For a fair price, you can find companies that put your photos on canvases too! It’s a cheap way to decorate while still keeping it personal!
As a moving company that cares about more than just getting you from point A to point B, we at Priority Moving understand there’s much more to the process than that. If you have any questions or need more tips, feel free to contact Priority Moving at 858.256.4808 today!
